Vasyl Lomachenko in new York a few hours ago won an early victory over Guillermo Rigondeaux.
The battle between two Olympic Champions lasted for only six rounds. Rigondeaux refused to continue the match due to injury and lost the title of WBA champion in super Bantamweight. Lomachenko won the seventh victory in a row, and in last four matches Vasily forcing opponents to surrender.
Vasyl Lomachenko (Ukraine): “Honestly, on the picture, which was, I expected it to be much more difficult, and Rigondeaux will be much better. As it turned out, not at the time arranged this fight. If this fight took place five years ago – it would be interesting for me personally”.
Guillermo Rigondeaux (Cuba): “In the second round I got injured, so little that I was able to come. I have no excuses, I will definitely be back. Lomachenko is a good boxer”
Chapter promotion company “Top Rank” Bob Arum announced that Vasyl Lomachenko will enter the lightweight division and his next opponent could be WBA title holder Jorge Linares.
