Ukrainian world champion in the second Featherweight champion of the WBO Vasyl Lomachenko has headed a rating of the best boxers of the year by the authoritative portal “today”.
In 2017 Lomachenko fought three fights and has won three early victories in April, double Olympic champion went to Jason Suck, in August, dealt with Miguel Marriages, and December 10 in new York city inflicted the first defeat in the career of Guillermo Rigondeaux. Each of the three fights ended with the failure of the opponent in 9.7 and 6 rounds respectively.
In the course of struggle for the title of best boxer of the world Lomachenko was ahead of the former absolute world champion in the Welterweight Terence Crawford and WBC champion in the second Flyweight Srisaket COP Longwise.
A banner year allowed Lomachenko to lead the ranking of the best boxers in the world according to “ESPN” as well as to break into the top three rankings of the best boxers of our time, regardless of weight category according to the magazine “The Ring”.
Vasyl Lomachenko is planning to return to the ring in April 2018. Next fight Ukrainians can pass in the second Featherweight or lightweight division.
