The world Boxing Association (WBA) has provided to Ukrainian Vasyl Lomachenko (11-1,9 KO’s) special status.
According to the information portal “Ring Polska”, the WBA gave Lomachenko a status of “super champion” that will allow the Basil to become the mandatory Challenger for the WBA title in any weight class.
As for the belt, Lomachenko at lightweight, WBA’s decision to challenge an Basil Jorge Linares (44-4, 27 KO’s) and a little known fighter from Indonesia, Daud Yordan (38-3, 26 KO’s). The world Boxing Association has notified the promoters for two boxers of this decision.
Vasyl Lomachenko because of a shoulder injury received in a fight with Linares, lay on the operating table and has postponed his next fight. The ring two-time Olympic champion will return at the end of the year, and his likely opponent will be the winner of the WBO ray Beltran (35-7-1, 21 KOs), who at the end of August to defend his title.
