For the first time scientists were able to print cells from living human heart on 3D-printer. Previously, researchers were able to print just the artificial heart.
Israeli researchers took the patient’s fat cells and “reprogrammed” them into stem cells.
Then of them grew heart muscle cells. All this process lasted three hours. The heart is small in size – 2.5 cm. This size heart is that of a rabbit.
According to the researchers, the heart biocompatible and appropriate for the patient. This is a full body.
These bodies will be able to transplant first animal, and after conducting clinical trials and people. Moreover, the risk of rejection in this case is minimal.
