This part of the world also called the New world.
Usually in this part of the world isolated Northern America (USA, Canada, Mexico and the Islands to the East), South America (countries of mainland South America), Central America (the countries of the North American continent South of Mexico) and the Caribbean (countries and colonies on the Islands of the Caribbean, when the region was called the West Indies).
In the cultural, linguistic and historico-politically isolated as Latin America (the mainland Spanish-speaking, Portuguese-speaking and French-speaking countries) English-speaking countries in the region (primarily the United States and Canada, excluding Quebec, and the British West Indies) is called Anglo-America.
To classify the 36 States and 17 dependent territories of America are UN adopted systematization by geographical and linguistic principle.
