Lavrynovych received a request for the arrest

The article that incriminates the former Minister of the investigation, does not provide for bail.

The former Minister of justice of Ukraine Oleksandr Lavrynovych presented the application of the Prosecutor’s office about election to it measures of restraint in form of detention.

“I was handed a copy of the petition for my arrest. This means that tomorrow in the Pechersk district court of Kyiv will this petition… the court will consider when, what day will be the question posed for consideration”, – Lavrinovich told journalists on Wednesday after visiting the General Prosecutor’s office in connection with the investigation of the case on the constitutional coup of 2010.

Lavrynovych noted that the article, which he holds is a consequence, does not provide for other measures of restraint in addition to the arrest (including no alternative in the form of collateral).

We will remind, a week ago, the Prosecutor General’s office reported about suspicion to the former President Viktor Yanukovych and ex-Minister of justice Lavrynovych in the seizure of state power. The case concerns the so-called constitutional coup of 2010 when the action was introduced by the Constitution of 1996, which gave the President more powers.

Lavrynovych is accused in another case in connection with the purchase by the Ministry of justice services American law firm to collect evidence against Yulia Tymoshenko.
