Lavrov asked the US not to attack the DPRK

Moscow hopes that the Americans will not go the same way as recently in Syria.

Russia has a negative attitude to nuclear and missile tests by Pyongyang, but also condemns the possible use of force by the Americans in North Korea.

It on a press-conferences were declared by the Minister of foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov.

According to him, neither the DPRK nor the United States should not violate international law.

“We will not tolerate nuclear and missile adventurous Pyongyang’s actions in violation of numerous UN security Council resolutions, but that does not mean that you can in the same way to violate international law, using force in violation of the UN Charter (referring to a possible US strike on North Korea – ed.)”, – said Lavrov.

He hoped that the United States will not commit the attack on the North Koreans, as it was recently against the government troops in Syria.

“The threat of force unilaterally (from the USA – ed.) is a very risky way. I really hope that there will be unilateral actions like those we saw recently in Syria, and that the United States will follow the line, which has been repeatedly voiced by the President of the United States Donald trump during his election campaign (to improve relations with Russia – ed.)”, – said the Russian diplomat.

We will remind, earlier Vice-the President of the United States Michael Pence announced “the end of an era strategic patience” toward North Korea. According to him, in North Korea, any possible measures, and the country should put to rest doubts about the determination of the US to be with the allies.”

16 APR 2017 North Korea tried to launch a rocket of unknown type, but the launch was unsuccessful. An attempt was made once before in Pyongyang first showed a new ballistic missile.
