The rumors about the ongoing development of the new budget card from NVIDIA received a new confirmation in the face of the laptop Lenovo IdeaPad 320S, not yet announced. According to the description, the video subsystem of the mobile PC based on the GeForce accelerator 1040, announcement of which is expected in September.
It should be noted, is not the most affordable card from NVIDIA – equal to this year was submitted to the GeForce GT 1030 processor-based GP108. Later the world saw the mobile card GeForce MX150 with identical parameters, including a 64-bit memory bus and 384 CUDA cores. Apparently, the new GeForce 1040 will be its slightly overclocked version with higher clock speeds, but no more, although this alone will provide a small, but still a performance increase.
The laptop Lenovo IdeaPad 320S will show this fall, probably in September or November, and it will be a full-size mobile computer with a screen of 15.6 inches and a resolution of Full HD with 8 GB RAM and SSD on 256 GB instead of the slow hard drive. It is also expected Intel Core i5-8250U of a new, already the eighth generation, known as the Coffee Lake. Intel has provided chips a few days ago.
