The head of Lamborghini Stefano Domenicali confirmed that the coupe Huracan next generation will be plug-in hybrid.

“There is still much room for engines V12. The right approach for us is the continued supply of V10 and V12 to satisfy our customers, and then to be willing to move to hybrid engines at the right moment,” said Stefano Domenicali.
The first Lamborghini model with a hybrid power plant will be the Urus SUV. The public debut of the novelty will take place on 4 December in Sant’agata Bolognese. The technical data or indicators of the efficiency of the new engines are not yet available.
According to the head of Department of research and development, Maurizio Lamborghini, Reggiani, the company plans to find the best solution for hybridization of supercars for four to five years. The reggiani said that Lamborghini is working with several experts from the industry to explore what type of battery will be the best choice for a hybrid supercar.
