Labor Minister: Russia will peak in unemployment in August and September

The Minister of labour and social protection of Russia Anton Kotkov said that the unemployment rate of Russians will reach its peak in August-September. While in the fourth quarter will stabilize the situation, and then the number of unemployed will be reduced.

However Kotkov recalled that according Rosstata April, the unemployment rate increased by 1.1 points in June, by 0.1 percentage point. Now the unemployment rate is 6.2% — that’s 4.6 million people. People are losing their jobs on the background of the fight against coronavirus.
