Kravchuk told about the losses in the confrontation with Russia

According to first President of Ukraine was doomed to lose the Crimea in 2014.

The first President of Ukraine Leonid Kravchuk told about the losses in the confrontation with Russia, which, according to him, lasts for more than three centuries. He said that in an interview to channel 112 Ukraine.

“If we talk about cultural and spiritual war, it is since Pereyaslav, where we actually lost the Ukrainian Church and the Ukrainian state. Need to know the history – it continues today,” said the ex-President Kravchuk.

He added that the cultural-spiritual warfare does not stop with Russia.

Also, in his opinion, Ukraine was doomed to the annexation of Crimea in 2014.

“I think Crimea was doomed to his hand, because Russia was preparing for the annexation of Crimea long ago. And at that time to keep the Crimea, when Ukraine was anarchy, the weak position both in the center and in the field, and in the Crimea, especially to protect the Crimea was impossible. Another thing I had to do was at least attempt,” – said Kravchuk.
