Andre ward and Sergey Kovalev will re-sort things out in the battle for the title of world champion in the light heavyweight division WBO/WBA/IBF.
The first fight between Kovalev and ward was held on November 19 in Las Vegas and ended in a controversial victory for the American, which, despite a knockdown in one of the opening rounds, won by unanimous decision (114:113 on all three cards).
The fight Kovalev-ward is scheduled for June 17 in Las Vegas in the arena “Mandalay Bay”. Live one of the main fights of the year will show the channel “HBO” on the system of PPV (pay and look).
“I’ll be brief. You got what you asked for. Now you have to see me on June 17. This time, leave the excuses at home,” wrote ward on his page in the social network.
“Glad to hear that a rematch will take place. I really hope that ward gets in the ring. Boxing fans will see of the breaker, which they lacked in my last fights. For me this fight will be the most important in his career. Many thanks to all the fans,” confirmed the rematch and Kovalev.
In addition to the three titles, Andre ward and Sergey Kovalev will determine the new leader of the rating of the best boxers in the world regardless of weight class. Victory in the first fight allowed ward to occupy the first line and Kovalev is located behind the offender.
