Beat the record for most powerful and fastest production car in 431,072 kilometers per hour.
1360-horsepower hypercar Koenigsegg Agera RS set a new world speed record for a production car 446,97 kilometers per hour. In addition, the Swedes have improved their own record a month ago in the exercise 0-400-0 kilometer per hour.
In October at a military airfield in Denmark Koenigsegg Agera RS broke the record of Bugatti Chiron in acceleration from zero to 400 kilometers per hour and then stop: the Swedish hypercar completed this exercise for 36,44 seconds (the “Chiron” – of 41.96 seconds).
On 5 November, the Swedes repeated the measurements in the us state of Nevada near the town of Pahrump on a closed straight section of highway 160. Factory driver Niklas Lilja was able to perform the exercise 0-400-0 kilometer per hour over 33,29 seconds – a new world record.
However, mainly in the U.S. session, though, was another achievement: beaten the record of the maximum speed for production cars in 431,072 kilometers per hour, which belongs to the Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Super Sport: achievements Agere RS – 446, 97 kilometers per hour, is the average of two runs in opposite directions. The absolute maximum of the car in one of the attempts made 457,49 kilometers per hour.
In addition, we managed to improve the acceleration time from zero to 400 kilometers per hour: it was of 26.88 seconds was 24 seconds. 1500-strong Bugatti Chiron five hundred exchanged for 32.6 seconds. The maximum speed of “Chiron” is still unknown, the firm Bugatti plans to conduct races.
