Ukrainian photographer Anton jankovoy won the most prestigious award in the mountains from the IMS Photo Contest.
This artist said in Facebook.
The Ukrainian took the first place in the category Mountain Faces (the “Face of the mountains”).
“I don’t even know how to convey the magnitude of my joy and all the emotions associated with this event and such a great honor and responsibility to which so suddenly svalilsya at me. A thousand times thank you all for your attention to my work and friendly support,” wrote the artist.
He also told the story of that winning photograph. It was made in the area of MT Manaslu in the village of Prok at an altitude of 2380 meters.
“This village is one of my favorite places in the Himalayas and definitely fruitful village in terms of portraiture. This year I brought out a dozen printed photos with portraits of people of Good,” added Anchovy.
