Advisor to the Minister of internal Affairs of Ukraine Ilya Kiva believes that Ukraine must be entered the penalty for treason. He said this in the live Browser.LIVE.
“For treason is death. Other positions in our country should not be. Because we are now in a state of war,” he said.
“Today, our best men, the flower of the nation, fall to the ground. Therefore, for treason should be death. This is a clear position,” – said Kiva.
In Ukraine abolished the death penalty July 1, 2003, when entered into force signed the Kiev Protocol of the European Convention on human rights providing for the total abolition of the death penalty. According to Amnesty International, prior to 1995, Ukraine was among the countries with the highest number of death sentences.
