Kiev is called one of the cheapest cities in the world

The study is based on comparing the 400 individual prices of 160 goods and services.

In the ranking of the research group Economist Intelligence Unit, Kiev was among the ten cheapest cities for living in the world.

Together with Kiev in the list are cities such as Alma-ATA (Kazakhstan), Lagos (Nigeria), Bangalore (India), Karachi (Pakistan), Algiers (Algeria), Chennai (India) and Mumbai (India), Bucharest (Romania), new Delhi (India).

The research group also ranked the most expensive cities. In the first place in the ranking is Singapore, followed by Hong Kong in third place – Zurich. Fourth and fifth place went to the Japanese cities of Tokyo and Osaka.
In the top ten most expensive cities as Geneva, Paris, new York and Copenhagen.

The study is based on comparing the 400 individual prices of 160 goods and services.

Discusses the prices of food, drink, clothing, household goods and personal care products, the price of rent, transport, utility bills, rates, private schools, domestic help and leisure.

So, the average cost of 1 kg of sliced bread in Kiev is at $1.07, while in Almaty – $0,9. For a bottle of wine 750 ml have to pay $5,67 in Kiev and $4,57 in Bucharest.

It is also estimated that in the capital of Ukraine cheap cigarettes. Price for name brand cigarettes (20 pieces) – in Kiev and in Lagos on $0,95.
