The Minister of foreign Affairs of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin called Russia’s actions “cynical”.
The Ministry of foreign Affairs of Ukraine has condemned the elections and referendum in South Ossetia, which happened at the weekend. This is stated in the statement of the foreign Ministry.
“The Ministry of foreign Affairs of Ukraine condemns the April 9, 2017 in the Tskhinvali region / South Ossetia, Georgia, Russian occupation regime’s so-called “presidential elections” and “referendum on the renaming of this region of Georgia on “the Republic of South Ossetia – Alania state”, – said in a statement.
The Ukrainian foreign Ministry called such actions illegal. According to Ukrainian diplomats, they were “gross violation of international law and a constituent element of neo-Imperial policy of Russia, aimed at the destabilization and subjugation of the Eastern European States”.
“Ukraine confirms its commitment to a policy of support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Georgia and non-recognition of the results of these worthless events, as well as any other illegal actions of the Kremlin”, – said the Minister.
The Minister of foreign Affairs of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin called the actions of the Russians “cynical”.
“I strongly condemn the illegitimate actions of the Russian invaders in the Tskhinvali region of Georgia. Particularly cynical is pseudowollastonite on the anniversary of the tragedy 9.04”, – he wrote in Twitter.
