Kia and Hyundai will begin to equip their cars AI assistant

Cars two large Korean conglomerates Hyundai and Kia since 2019 will be equipped with virtual assistant, created on the basis of artificial intelligence.

Assistant can, for example, to determine which song plays on the radio using the service SoundHound, and call it aloud. It will be to get ahead of it, trying to guess where the driver goes in a given time, and if his hunch proves correct, it will route to the destination. Guess their artificial intelligence will be based on entries in the calendar of the owner of the car, time of day, habits and peculiarities of life of the owner.

Virtual assistant will be able to tell the passengers the weather forecast for today, choose from a list of world and regional news the most interesting and articulate them in a concise and understandable form. Of course, he will be able to communicate with people using voice commands in the likeness of Google assistant, Siri, Cortana and Alexa. For the first time a South Korean virtual assistant will demonstrate to the public at the exhibition CES, which will begin in early 2018.

Both Kia and Hyundai recognize that rely on the use of artificial intelligence in future cars. Earlier similar opinion was adopted by such car makers as Toyota, Nissan and Honda. Although what is there to wonder, because the Japanese always emphasized on high technology, robots and artificial intelligence. Even the American concern Ford is currently working with Amazon in order to tailor the voice assistant Alexa for their vehicles. So the planned trend is quite obvious.
