“Judge Dredd: Mega-city One”: the first concept art of the series!

While Karl urban talks about returning to the role of Judge Dredd, the Network has released the first concept art the future of the series about this colorful character from the comic book 2000 AD.

The creation of the concepts engaged British Studio Rebellion, known as a developer of computer games. They are responsible for shooter Aliens vs. Predator, for example.

The first art is called “March of democracy” (Democracy March) and depicts the city of Mega-city One with futuristic skyscrapers, a crazy tangle of roads and the Statue of Liberty in the distance. The traffic on the roads, apparently, stopped, and they are all filled with crowds of people. Knowledgeable people from IGN suggested that this may be a hint of the dramatic events of the “America” (America) — history, published in seven editions of Judge Dredd: The Megazine in 1990. It is considered the most politicized, and perhaps best of all, it was in these comics.

The second concept is less detailed, it is possible to see the dark filthy street, to the walls of the huddle of figures of people, and a little farther, the darkness dispersed lights of the motorcycles belonging to the most likely Referees. The art is signed as “Arrival to the bottom” (Lowlife Arrival). It is possible that this is an illustration of the storyline, the”Bottom of life” (Low Life) from those same comics.

Well, it would be very nice if these events were reflected in the future of the show.

Release date of the series “Judge Dredd: Mega-city One” is not yet known, but we expect, hope and believe.
