The statement of the President of Petro Poroshenko about the fact that the abolition of the visa regime for Ukrainians will affect travel to dozens of countries in Asia and Latin America, is not true.
In particular, as stated Poroshenko, simultaneously with the entry into force bezveza with the EU, visa requirements will be removed outside of the European Union.
“More than 35 countries in Latin America, Asia, who are bound by agreements with the EU on visa-free regime, will provide the Ukrainians the right to travel in (relevant country) in Latin America and Asia”, – said the President.
However, as writes the edition, this information is not true. Recently, the Ministry of foreign Affairs, responding to a journalistic inquiry, explained that the launch of a visa-free regime does not imply the abolition of visas to non-European States. This can happen only after successful negotiations of Ukraine with each of these countries.
“Poroshenko also said in an interview that with the onset of bezveza open “four freedoms” in relations with the EU, which is also untrue, since according to the generally accepted terminology of the “fourth freedom” is called the labor movement; negotiations on the opening between Ukraine and the EU is not even underway,” – said the publication.
