James WAN and David F. Sandberg made a competition of short films

In recent years we have all heard about films like “there goes the light…” and “Polaroid” – and it’s hardly just a coincidence. In the trend – the so-called creep-movie, there are movies that are either based, like the aforementioned painting, short horror films, or largely inspired by a terrible short video, the benefit goes like this now more than ever. Not so long ago we even published an interview with one of the young talents, removing these terrible videos. The producers are REALLY looking for new ideas and new names among karpovyh video at different festivals and just on the Internet.

Yesterday, Russian producer Vladislav Severtsev announced that it is ready to allocate one million for the creation of good short films in the genres of horror and dark-fiction. I personally have sent email your script crepaway shorts, though anything especially did not expect and I don’t need a million, but it was worth it to try!

And now the monsters of the genre, James WAN and David F. Sandberg announced its own competition Knipovich shorts!

I’m inviting YOU to create a horror short that could live in @creepypuppet’Conjuring’s Universe. Visit https://t.co/ilrRKtkeV4 for more info pic.twitter.com/o2I4M4tQop

Van and Sandberg are not indifferent to this format. Feature debut Sandberg, the producer of which were made by just van, “And the lights go out…” was based on his short masterpiece Lights Out (many believe the original is significantly more powerful than a full meter). Sam van in time to get the budget for the production of “Saw”, took off for potential producers of a short film, and the first trailer for his hit “the Conjuring” was a essentially a very powerful, sensational short horror film that I personally still remember with a shudder.

Sandberg directed the film “Curse Annabel: the Birth of horror,” the fourth film in the movie-universe “Curse”. And new competition the guys are throwing under the promotional campaign of this film, which will premiere in August. On the website “the curse of Annabelle: the Birth of horror” wishing to participate can upload their videos, while the length per video should not exceed two minutes, and the short films must be inspired by the movie universe of “the conjuring” and/or “the Origin of terror.” The author of the best video will be able to visit Los Angeles and meet David F. Sandberg, or one of the producers, the Studio New Line Cinema.

With regard to timing, the video should be sent before midnight on July 27, 2017 (for North American time).
