The oldest residential house in Kiev 256 years.
The first house was owned by a nobleman, Leontius Wisniewski. He rebuilt the house, the first floor made of stone. Because of that, he managed to survive the fire in Podil in 1811. Then the fire it destroyed 2,000 houses and 12 churches.
The fire survived only Contract house, the house of Peter I, Mazepa, Fishing, Nazar the Dry and the house.
The oldest building of Kyiv has 2 floors with a residential apartment and office space.
Interesting facts:
Was built of wood (1760) and then stone (1798), and survived a huge Fire that turned the Old Hem to ashes in 1811
