The unusual structure was developed in the Netherlands.
The Dutch company Fiction Factory introduced a compact home design which used the pressboard high-strength.

From the Dutch word Wikkelhouse translates as “house wrap”. The process of creating a unique housing really like the process of wrapping: the frame of the house is wrapped with 24 layers of cardboard. Each house is assembled from five or six cardboard modules weighing 500 kg, which can be easily connected with environmentally friendly glue. The client can choose the size of the property. In addition, Wikkelhouse does not require deep foundations, which facilitates its installation. As stated by the developer, assemblage is carried out in just 24 hours one construction team.

The construction is stable and durable. Its total weight is only 3 tons, so the Foundation such a home is not needed.
