The number of taxes in Ukraine must be “cut” from thirteen to nine pieces

This was stated by the President of the Association of taxpayers of Ukraine, extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Georgia Grigol Katamadze.

“We need to cut the number of taxes – from 13 to 9. That is, leave the five national and four local. In particular, it is necessary to replace the income tax with a tax on the capital. This is a very important legislative initiative,” he said.

According to him, the tax cuts will affect the development of Ukrainian enterprises.

“We’re wasting time. Think about it: if the producers made a profit and invested in their own manufacturing, they should be exempt from the payment of tax. It will stimulate business, including potential foreign investors,” he said.

Moreover, Katamadze sure that such a tax “optimization” will help Ukraine to attract international investors.

“Imagine the scene — you appeal to potential investors in order to invest money in Ukrainian economy. Investors interested in and then find out that the Ukrainians earn money, and then successfully bring them out of the country through various schemes. It is logical that a smart investor would not invest in this economy,” he said.
