Most Ukrainian users go online via smartphones.
The number of Ukrainians who regularly use the Internet for personal purposes, reached 66%. This is evidenced by the results of the study of the behavior of Ukrainian Internet user Google Connected Consumer Study 2017.
The study showed that the most active users – aged 25-34 and 35-44 years (27% and 23%, respectively), many of them have at least two devices with network access.
“Today, one Ukrainian has a 1.4 Internet-connected devices. At the same time, a Ukrainian user in age from 16 to 44 years of age have 2 or more devices with network access”, – stated in the message.
At the same time Ukrainians actively acquire all sorts of gadgets.
“Ukrainians use more and more devices offering Internet access: 41% use smartphones and 34% have laptops, about 7% of smart TV”, the study says.
However, the most popular smartphones.
“More and more Ukrainians are choosing a smartphone for Internet use. So, in 2017, 18% of users are equally often used as a computer/tablet or smartphone to access the Internet while 28% preferred device to access the network is the smartphone,” – said in the message.
The study also showed that the Ukrainians use the Internet mainly for entertainment.
“Ukrainian online users primarily have fun (82%), searching for information (74%) and perform tasks online (38%), and post online content (22%), helping others, showing how to do something online (27%),” reads the study.
In the study, Connected Consumer Study, conducted by KANTAR TNS, involved respondents from more than 63 countries. In Ukraine the study was conducted in the period from 1 April to 30 June 2017 in the format of personal interviews, a sample of 1000 respondents aged 16+.
