On Friday, December 29, Israel formally notified the UN Organization for education, science and culture organization (UNESCO) on the exit of its composition. This was stated by Director General of Deathbed Azul.
The head of the organization said that deeply regrets this decision of Israel, which shall come into force on 31 December 2018.
Earlier, the government of Israel announced that beginning the procedure of withdrawal from UNESCO. While in tel Aviv called “brave and moral” decision of the United States, which announced the termination of its membership in the organization earlier. Washington stated concern about “in connection with growth of debt to UNESCO, the need for fundamental reforms and the ongoing anti-Israeli roll of the organization”.
