The Iranian national team on football after the home victory over Uzbekistan (2:0) have officially booked a trip to Russia for the final stage of the world Cup.
Another victory in the qualifying round the team of Carlos karusha brought goals Cerdan Asana and Mehdi Taremi. Iran for two rounds before the completion of the selection of the eight points came off of Uzbekistan and guaranteed at least second place in group A.
The Iranian national team became only the third member next world Cup. Sports a first for the world Cup the Brazilians made it, and Russia will play at the world championship in the status of the host.
Iran is the fourth time qualified for the world Cup. Four previous attempts team was not successful – the team has never qualified from the group and yielded just one win, eight defeats.
The next world Cup will be held from June 14 to July 15 in 11 cities of Russia (Moscow, St.-Petersburg, Kazan, Yekaterinburg, Samara, Saransk, Sochi, Rostov-on-don, Kaliningrad, Nizhny Novgorod and Volgograd).
