Iran has imposed a temporary ban on the transportation of petroleum products to Iraqi Kurdistan

Tehran has banned the import and export of fuels and lubricants in the cities and towns of Iraqi Kurdistan.

Tehran has imposed a temporary embargo on Iraqi Kurdistan, banning Iranian companies to transport fuel.

“Due to recent events in the region, and in accordance with the order of the General Directorate of border Affairs, international shipping companies and drivers are prohibited to load and transport fuel products and Iraqi Kurdistan, until further notice”, – stated in the decree of the Ministry of transport of Iran.

The Directive, which dates back to September 27 were sent to their respective companies.

We will remind, on September 25 in the Kurdish autonomy of Iraq held a referendum on independence. The referendum was not recognized neither by the Central government of Iraq or other countries.
