Instagram has developed artificial intelligence to block offensive comments.
Social network Instagram has launched a system of filtering reviews based on machine learning technology.
Interestingly, the comment will be blocked for all except the author of the comment.
A filter that blocks offensive comments to the posts and live streams are enabled by default, but you can disable them yourself in your profile settings.
Reporters noted that in the previous version blocker reviews, which only worked with a list of “forbidden words”, a system had to be activated manually. Interestingly, the new version retained the ability to add your own words and phrases, which comments will be blocked.
In addition, Instagram launched a feature for blocking spam in the comments to the publications and live broadcasts. System anti-spam also works on the basis of machine-learning techniques. They used data from users who manually evaluated the millions of comments. Now the system is able to detect and block comments like “subscribe to get the iPhone for free.”
While the review filter works only in the English language at the start, but representatives of the service Instagram announced that soon there will be versions for other languages. But the spam filter will work in eight other languages: Spanish, Portuguese, Arabic, French, German, Russian, Japanese and Chinese.
