General Director of Uralvagonzavod Alexander Potapov said that the VAT increase to 20% have complicated delivery of equipment for the army and contracts for the largest Russian producer of tanks and wagons. It may lead to losses for the company.
“You must quickly decide on issues related to VAT for the current year, because the contracts we have 18% VAT and the tax takes VAT this year to 20%, – told Alexander Potapov in an interview with RBC. – There is a collision. It needs to be urgently resolved, because this complicates the work on signing contracts with performers and shipment of equipment for our army.”
According to General Director of the Uralvagonzavod to solve the problem is not his enterprise, and other bodies who have received the relevant instruction. Tank builders only will comply with the decisions taken at the legislative level and would like not to lose in the transition to the new VAT.
