In Zaporozhye law enforcement officers detained two malefactors who hunted a serial car thief accidentally stole a police car.
This is stated in the message on the website of the National police of Ukraine.
Criminals have made the stealing of the car VAZ-21099, which was on the use of regional management of protection of the economy, right under the COP’s house.
At this time, the car has installed so-called license plates operational cover with a white background.
After a few hours the police managed to identify the hijackers who drove the stolen car to the territory of one of garage cooperatives of Zaporozhye.
The attackers were local residents of 24 and 25 years. Later, the detainees confessed to committing 10 more similar crimes.
On this fact initiated criminal proceedings under part 2 of article 289 of the criminal code (misappropriation of the vehicle).
