The car once again broke the absolute speed record.
Supercar fans have been waiting for a model Venom F5 Hennessey from the American company, and finally she saw the light. Texas tuning company presented on tuning show SEMA in Las Vegas the long-awaited hypercar carbon fiber.
State of the art Venom F5 was named after the strongest tornado wind speed which ranges from 420 to 512 km/h, and it is that range of speed, which accelerates Venom F5 (482 km/h or 300 mph).
During a presentation at SEMA were announced, some specifications of the car. New doctorindy V8 reportedly has an output of 1,600 HP. Also the car has received seven-speed gearbox with a coefficient of resistance equal to 0.33 (which is a decent improvement from 0.44 in the previous model Venom GT). The newly developed chassis and body of carbon fiber provide a very low weight hypercar — 1 338 kg.
Thanks to all this, according to the engineers Hennessey, F5 accelerates from 0 to 300 km/h in less than 10 seconds, which is faster than a modern Formula 1 car. And acceleration to 400 km/h and braking back to a stop takes less than 30 seconds. Maximum speed will exceed 300 mph (482 km/h), which is a record in the world for vehicles.
“We designed the F5 as a “timeless” car, which after 25 years will continue to have the highest levels of performance and design, said John Hennessey, founder and Executive Director of the company. – F5 is a new car designed and built from scratch, from the engine to the chassis. We expect the Venom F5, named after the most powerful tornado speed, will be the first car capable of reaching speeds of over 840 km/h.”
Those who want to buy this “rocket on wheels”, have to hurry (and don’t forget the suitcase of money). Plans to build only 24 copies, with base price of each will be $ 1.6 million.
