Accused of calling for the transfer of Transcarpathia of Hungary spoke to three years probation
Uzhhorod district court sentenced the administrator of the group Karpatalja nem Ukrajna (“Transcarpathia is not Ukraine”) in Facebook to three years probation for separatism.
The court decision States that, while in Hungary, the accused distributed in the group of materials which contain public calls to change the borders of Ukraine by separating Transcarpathia and transfer to the jurisdiction of Hungary. According to the investigation, since 2014, the man published an image with calls to the office of Transcarpathia, in particular the map of Hungary from to finish the Transcarpathian region.
In addition, he urged to hold a referendum on the issue of separation of Transcarpathia from Ukraine, as well as in the broadcast of Russian TV called for a struggle for “the liberation of Transcarpathia”. It is also reported that this Facebook community is over a year inactive.
We will remind, earlier it was reported that in the Transcarpathian region will judge the two Ukrainians for treason.
They are suspected in the destruction of a staged propaganda stelae with inscriptions in the Hungarian language: “Berehove district. Land of the Hungarian language and the Hungarians are welcome in Vynohradiv district”
