In Ukraine will build special corridors for wild animals

On the development are already working environmentalists.

On the domestic roads may appear spacerider for wildlife.

Such special passages in the form of bridges are called “acouchi” and since the middle of last century, used in many European countries.

They will keep the population of wild animals in conditions of intensification of road construction in Ukraine. In particular we are talking about places where the population of the lynx and the brown bear, which in our land were 200 and 220 animals respectively.

“The priority of the project will support the unimpeded ecological corridors that allow the movement of species facing the greatest impact from the road and the railway tracks: large carnivores (brown bear, wolf, lynx) and some herbivores,” say the authors.

The first object will appear on the roads Miklos (Hungary), košice (Slovakia) – Uzhgorod (Ukraine), Tirgu Mures – Iasi (Romania) and the highway Beskids (Czech Republic – Slovakia).
