In Ukraine, scammers have come up with a new way to “divorce”

The scammers fraudulently get the opportunity to make calls at the expense of others.

Scammers have found a new way to steal money from citizens. The target of the attackers was a SIM-card Ukrainians.

“You get a phone call on your cell phone from the man, who is the engineer of the company, the mobile phone provider. He/she says that they’re checking Your mobile line, and ask You to press #90 or #09 or any other combination of digits and symbols”, – stated in the message.

Hearing these words, immediately end the conversation. The proposed combination, after pressing, gives fraudsters access to the SIM card through which they can make calls at the owner’s expense.
