In Ukraine rose sharply liquefied gas

The rise in prices will continue

For last week wholesale prices for liquefied gas increased by almost 25%. It happened because of a certain scarcity of resources, the main supplier of which in Ukraine is the Russian Federation.

This was stated by the analyst consulting company UPECO Alexander Sirenko.

According to him, in the future, gas prices probably will rise still further – it will depend on the volume of imports.

“The change happened just last week. Since the beginning of this month, traders saw that in June I went enough liquefied natural gas, that is, there was such a deficit, through which the prices have gone to growth. And only last week the wholesale price of liquefied gas increased by almost 25%. And of course, this led to the fact that the operators who traded with minimum margin, they were forced to raise prices. The purchase price of LPG now is around 9,30 – 9,50 UAH per liter,” – he said.

“In the future will depend on how quickly the gas will come from abroad. And we are the main importer is the Russian companies, including “Rosneft”. From her we received about 30 – 40%. This is a significant percent, and when something happens, of course, the market is noticeable,” he said.

The expert explained that the liquefied natural gas market is working “on wheels”, that is, reserves of a resource nobody forms.

“We don’t have the infrastructure. If, for example, we have many depots where you can collect fuel and gasoline, liquefied gas – anywhere. And market conditions do not so that you can accumulate,” – said Sirenko.

According to the expert, if “Rosneft” will resume shipments to Ukraine, we will see how the wholesale price of gas will fall and return to their former positions.

“By the end of this week, I predict that there will be some more operators to raise the price, but not much. Now the market is a little stopped and is awaiting shipments from Russia”, – he concluded.
