In may 2017 the cost of the pan Ukrainian borscht with a volume of 3,5-4 l were: meat – 82,95 UAH, without meat (lean) – 23,05 UAH.

Compared to April of this year, in may the borscht with meat rose by 2.8% (2.25 UAH), lean – 6.5% (+1.41 UAH). The increase in the cost of the soup was due to the growth in consumer prices for most of the ingredients of this dish. The highest growth rates recorded in the carrot – 10.6%, potatoes – by 13.5% and onion – by 46.1%. Beef is also added to the price of 1.4%, or 1.41 UAH / kg.
From the beginning, the soup with meat has risen by 22.8% (+UAH 15,4), without meat (lean) – 48.7% (+7,55 UAH).
If to compare with may of 2016, the current value of vegetable soup for the Ukrainian, after months of backlog, compared with the previous year. At the same time, due to the substantial rise in beef prices (21%), the cost of soup with meat in may of this year is 14.6% higher than a year earlier.
In 12 regions of Ukraine last month has been the increase in the cost of a set of vegetables for cooking soup from 0.9% in Kherson to 17.2% in the Kiev region. The largest drop of the cost of traditional set recorded in Ivano-Frankivsk region (-13,1%). While cheapest set you could buy in Ternopil region – UAH of 12.17, the most expensive – in g. Kiev – UAH 17,56.
