The new privatization bill, which should simplify the conditions for the sale of state assets and attract investors, is included in the provisional agenda of the Verkhovna Rada on 9 November. This was announced by first Vice Prime Minister – Minister of economic development and trade Stepan Kubiv on his page in Facebook.
“Privatization is an effective tool for attracting real investments in Ukraine. But until the legislation is too complex and does not help the rapid and effective privatization. It will change the government bill No. 7066, which is already included in the provisional agenda of the Parliament on Thursday, 9 November,” – said the head of MEDT.
According to him, the bill will introduce a transparent environment to attract investors, and streamline mechanisms for determining the sale price of state assets.
“This important initiative needs the support of MPs, because fair and transparent sale of state property allows to overcome corruption in state enterprises, contributes to regional development, creates new jobs,” – said Kubiv.
As you know, a draft law on privatization provides for the regulation of the privatization law (the 7 laws), which will be only two types of objects of privatization (instead of 5) – large and small.
In addition, instead of the five procedures of privatization are encouraged to leave two auction and redemption. In addition, small objects of privatization will be sold through the electronic marketplace “Prozorro.Sale.”
