The village Reshetylivka to Poltava acquired a new status

The Verkhovna Rada at its evening session, November 7, took the urban village Reshetylivka, Poltava oblast to category of cities of regional importance (project of decree No. 6550). For this decision voted by 226 people’s deputies.

In Reshetilovka, located 40 kilometers from Poltava, home to more than 9 thousand people. It is the administrative center Reshetilovsky district.

In the latter-day city has several companies that produce cheese and milk, brick, polystyrene plate and mortar, flour, sunflower oil and cereals, processed meat. On the territory of the Reshetylivka are two of the Lyceum, four elementary schools, two Junior sports school, two preschools, a district hospital, three libraries, three leisure Park, two stadium.

“Given that the urban village Reshetilovka located at the intersection of trunk road communications of national importance and is situated in the center of Poltava oblast, a settlement has prospects for further socio-economic development and investment attraction. The allocation of the settlement to the category of towns of regional significance will provide additional opportunities for the development of the urban village Reshetylivka and its economic potential”, – stated in the explanatory note to the resolution.
