Unemployment rate of population aged 15-70 years in Ukraine in the second quarter of this year increased to 9.1% from 9.0% in the second quarter of last year.
This is evidenced by the State statistics service of Ukraine.
“The unemployment rate among the economically active population aged 15-70 years increased from 9.0% in the SECOND quarter of 2016 to 9.1% in the SECOND quarter of 2017”, – noted in Department.
In the state Statistics said that the employment rate of population aged 15-70 years is 56.8%, which is 0.1 percentage point less than in the second quarter of 2016.
Moreover, among the working-age population this indicator increased by 0.4 percentage points and amounted to 65.1%.
In General, the results of sample surveys of population (households) on economic activity the number of employed population aged 15-70 in the second quarter of 2017 amounted to 16.4 million, and the number of unemployed – 1.6 million.
Add data excluding the territory of the first and second zones of radioactive pollution owing to accident on the Chernobyl NPP, the temporarily occupied territory of Crimea and city of Sevastopol, also part of the zone of the antiterrorist operation.
