In Ukraine increased the share of cashless payments

This year the percentage of use of money from the card rose to 38%.

The share of cashless payments in Ukraine in January-June increased from 35% to 38.4%.

This was announced by Deputy Director of Department of strategy and reforming of the NBU Ruslan Kravets.

“This year alone, the percentage of use of cash increased from 35% to 38%. What does it mean? This means that 38% of all incoming money to the card used cashless, whereas in the 4th quarter of last year the figure was 35%,” said Kravets.

He also noted that the NBU is actively encouraging market participants for the introduction of non-cash forms of calculation. To do this, the regulator has developed a draft cashless economy.

Also in NBU believe that the increase in non-cash forms of calculation to reduce the costs of printing money.
