The cyber-police has exposed a major scheme to sell counterfeit drugs.
Employees of the police, together with investigators Podolsky of the Metropolitan police office stopped activity of criminal group which produced and marketed through the Internet potent drugs.
This was announced by the head of the Department of police of National police of Ukraine Sergey Demediuk.
“The criminal group consisted of IT specialists that support the implementation and promotion of online stores, which were implemented potent drugs. In addition, using a specially created call-center, attackers have provided advice to clients on the use of strong medicines. Usually buyers were athletes who were taking medications to maintain their physical forms, ” he said.
According to Deliduka, the criminal group consisted of six people, the role of each of them were clearly divided. All payments are “passed” through a payment card issued to persons under control to organizers of the criminal scheme.
As noted by the head of the Ukrainian police, the geography of sales of medicines is not confined to the borders of Ukraine. Members of the criminal group sold them via the Internet outside the country.
“Potent drugs enter the territory of Ukraine by an illicit way. Some of the drugs were made directly at the warehouse rented by members of the group “, – said the head of the Department of police.
Police spent 16 authorized searches in a residence of organizers and accomplices of the criminal scheme. Also conducted searches in the so-called call-center and warehouse storage is prohibited on the territory of Ukraine of drugs. As a result, police seized computer equipment, mobile phones, hundreds of SIM cards, Bank cards and more than $ 70,000 cash. In their premises, the law enforcement officers also found drugs, weapons and hundreds of thousands of tablets of potent drugs.
On 14 September, one of participants of criminal group the court elected a measure of restraint in form of arrest. The police carry out activities aimed at the detention of other members of the group. The investigation is ongoing.Go to the Main page
