The company Lycamobile has received a copy of the license Trimob 3G-a division of the largest fixed operator Ukrtelecom. This was reported today by the press service of the virtual operator.
Thus Lycamobile has obtained legal grounds for the provision of cellular services in Ukraine.
“We are pleased to announce receipt of licensing in Ukraine and the partnership with Ukrtelecom and 3Mob. This will allow us to expand the offer of our services in the region in the coming weeks”, – said the Chairman of the Lyca Group of Allirajah Subaskaran.
Director of Ukrtelecom Yuriy Kurmaz said that the partnership with Lycamobile will provide new opportunities for the development of Trimob.
“The existing price limits between networks, and significant market power of the largest Ukrainian mobile operators have historically limited the development of small providers in the country”, – he stressed.
Lycamobile founded in 2006, caters to 15 million users on five continents. The company’s services are available in Austria, Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Macedonia, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, UK, Ukraine, Hong Kong, Tunisia, USA and Australia.
