This form of protest has spread in support of women’s rights and as a symbol of condemnation of the treatment of women the new head of state.
The first sample of this flash mob showed women from the Democratic party, when on February 28, the newly elected President of the United States Donald trump made a traditional policy speech of the head of state in the hall of the house of representatives on Capitol hill. On this day, representatives of the Democratic party met the policy in the white outfits than made a collective statement without saying and words.
The initiative was named #WomenWearWhite and pretty soon became a hashtag on social networks.
Among the first the leader of the Democrats Nancy Pelosi supported the initiative by posting a photo on Capitol hill with their counterparts, dressed all in white.
In the comments to the photo, Pelosi noted that the way women are going to support the movement “in support of women’s rights”, despite the absence of the President.
Following the example of Pelosi, many of the women from Congress have started to post similar photos explaining the movement as a United front against Donald trump.
In turn, NBC emphasized that the white color symbolizes the tribute to the women’s suffrage movement, whose members often wear white, which is also a symbol of purity.
