A court in the U.S. state of new Jersey sentenced a Ukrainian hacker to 41 months in prison and fined for stealing payment card data.
The amount of the fine which the convict will have to pay exceeds 83 thousand dollars.
Hacker Sergey Vovnenko, known online as Flycracker and Darklife, was accused of stealing personal information and credit card data into the computers of private individuals and organizations.
The investigation found that for these purposes the hacker used “batset” of the 13 million computers infected with malware.
