Red telephone with engraved name of the Nazi leader found in his Berlin bunker in 1945.
After Germany surrendered, one of the Soviet soldiers gave it to the British officer sir Ralph Rayner as a souvenir. Now the owner of the phone is his son ranulf.
Auction will be held at the auction house Alexander Historical Auctions in Chesapeake city, Maryland. The starting price is 100 thousand dollars.
The organizers of the auction hope that they will be able to sell it for about $ 300,000.
The representative of the auction house bill panagopulos called this phone a “weapon of mass destruction” because Hitler used it to give orders that during the war many people died, the Associated Press reports.
It is noted that the phone was in the bunker of Adolf Hitler in Berlin and was used to link the last two years of the Second world war. It is made of black bakelite, the body was painted with red paint, decorated with a swastika and Hitler’s name.
