In the American state of Massachusetts during the accident high speed ferry injured 18 people. This was announced on Saturday the head of the city fire Department Dean Melanson.
“The incident occurred in the Harbor of Hyannis port in the South of the state. The ferry crashed into the dock, and then got stuck on the rocks. The ship began to flow. Emergency services evacuated the passengers, 15 of whom were hospitalized. Three other persons were examined. The ferry has been sent for repair”, – is spoken in the message.
As noted by the representatives of the U.S. coast guard, the causes of the crash could be bad weather, strong winds and poor visibility. Authorities are investigating the incident.
