In the U.S. Congress suspended the strengthening of sanctions against Russia

The Republicans stopped the vote on the anti-Russian sanctions and referred the bill to the Committee for assessment of its content.

The Republican majority of the house of representatives stopped a vote on sanctions against Russia, which had previously approved the the Senate.

According to the Agency, instead of a quick vote, hoped for the supporters of the sanctions bill referred to the Committee on foreign Affairs to evaluate its content.

If the House of representatives to change the bill and take it in a new form, it will have to harmonize the text with the Senate.

A known supporter of sanctions against Russia Congressman Eliot Engel expressed concern that the Republicans delayed the passage of the bill.

“It will slow the process and give the White house time to blur the key efforts of the Kremlin to justice,” he said and demanded an immediate vote on the bill.
