In the Ukrainian supermarkets will be shelves for Muslims

Association “Oukraal” appealed to the representatives of the largest wholesale and retail chains of Ukraine with a proposal to create a “unified Halal shelf”.

In Ukraine, there are 180 producers of food products of Halal standard, but they often go for export, bypassing the domestic market.

The spiritual administration of Muslims of Ukraine “Ummah” appealed to the Ukrainian Association of Halal industry with a request to promote food of Halal standard in commercial networks and public eating places of Ukraine.

As stated in the appeal, the Muslim community of Ukraine, has over 1 million followers in different cities and regions of the country, but it is almost devoid of free access to the products of the standard “Halal”.

This is evident even in Kiev, not to mention other Ukrainian cities.

Also highlights the fact that Ukraine is the production of Halal standard, but most is exported, bypassing domestic consumers.

In response to the appeal of the Spiritual administration of Muslims of Ukraine “Ummah”, the Association “Oukraal” addressed an open letter to representatives of the largest wholesale and retail chains of Ukraine with a proposal to create a “unified Halal shelf”, which will be collected by groups of goods with a certificate.

Today in Ukraine certified more than 180 large and small food producers in different commodity groups on the standard “Halal”. Among them — MHP, “Dnipro poultry farm”, “Kozyatyn meat plant”, “Zeus”, “Roshen”, “Conti”, “Snack-Export”, “Veres”, “Bunge Ukraine”, “Chumak” and many others.
