A member of the journey of Olga Bogdanova told the newspaper that long heard about the buried money, but specific sites were not known. At the may holidays her friend Sergei Volkov from YouTube channel “Russian secrets” offered to make a joint visit to one of these points.

“About six months ago, my husband heard about the presence of abandoned mines with buried in it the Soviet denominations of the sample 1961 and 1991. In the early 1990-ies unnecessary bills tons were taken to the mine, as due to the toxicity of burning them was dangerous. One such place was near a dull suburban village, the name of which, for unknown reasons, kept secret.

“It’s funny that the locals of the village, near which are buried the money, do not have the information about what just a few kilometres away there is a “treasure”. Perhaps someone knows, but us local no one spoke. I had to look for themselves,” says Bogdanov.

The journey there took several hours. Despite rumors of radioactivity of bills, the reading of the dosimeter showed that excess baggage there. Enthusiasts saw the money scattered over a large radius and even found a tied bundle.

“The hike to the mine and back to the car took about five hours. The road goes through forest, field and even river to get there was the hardest, as the crossing is made only “formally”, normal there is no bridge and without the rubber boot it “beat” the impossible,” – says the participant of the trip.
